Tadcaster Grammar School teacher Gillian Hainsworth “arrested” in minibus mix-up 10:07am Tuesday 26th November 2013 in News By Mike Laycock , Chief reporter Teacher Gillian Hainsworth sees the funny side as she is arrested in Halifax on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle PUPILS watched in amazement as their minibus was boxed in by police, who believed it was stolen and handcuffed their teacher. Gillian Hainsworth, 51, a music teacher at Tadcaster Grammar School and a church organist, told yesterday of her comical brush with the law when she was driving members of the school’s Big Band to a concert at Halifax Minster last Friday. “We were getting near the Minster when three police vehicles with blue lights flashing completely blocked me in – one was in front, another at the side and a third at the back,” said Mrs Hainsworth, 51, of Stutton, near Tadcaster.
